Forecasts indicate that temperatures will drop well below freezing. It is crucial to start preparing now to protect both you and your home.
Wrap your outdoor water pipes and faucets.
Allow faucets to drip during the nights of hard freezes and leave cabinet doors open under sinks to allow warm air to circulate.
Never leave portable heaters unattended. Only use heaters designed for indoor use and follow all safety instructions.
Don't forget your pets. Bring them indoors or ensure they have adequate shelter.
Check on neighbors, especially those who may need extra assistance during these cold conditions.
